Dedicated to the parents of Fox Chapel Crew, whose support is essential to the continued success of the program. FC Crew parents share in the pride and sense of accomplishment achieved by the team, creating memories that last a lifetime.
On October 16th The Fox Chapel Crew Club Girls’ Lightweight 8+ earned a Gold Medal at the Speakmon Memorial Regatta in Columbus, Ohio. Rowing in the 1st place boat were Erica Taylor, Nicole Segall, Phoebe Roe, Mackenna Bell, Shannon Monahan, Jessica Kaplan, Nina Appasamy and Emily Rogalski, with Kelly Power as coxswain. The team also garnered a Silver Medal for the Girls’ Novice 4+. Rowing in this boat were Sarah Grossman, Vanessa Sacco, Katie Orr and Kimberly Totten with coxswain Praneeta Govil. The Boys’ Lightweight 4+ also earned a medal coming in 3rd place in their event. The Bronze medal boat consisted of rowers Ryan Shymansky, Jeffrey Good, Michael Kormos, Jory Segal and was coxed by Ethan Diamond. This annual event attracts teams from high schools, universities and rowing clubs across the region. This year the Fox Chapel team entered 16 boats in a total of 13 events; the regatta had teams competing from 10 states and Canada in the day-long event.
Boys Novice Four with Andrew Kemp/Matt Gostowski, Jesse Eicher, Ian Cullen, and Mason Klug, came in third place.

Congratulations to all the FC rowers, the Foxes closed out the indoor racing season on a very positive note and can look forward to some great competition in the spring. Just 7 weeks to go until our first competition!
